Seal safari by boat in the Limfjord


Join us on a seal safari by boat and experience the unique nature by the mouth of the Limfjord. Our experienced guide sails through the labyrinth of channels between the sand banks and takes you close to the seals. On the trip we often see two species of seals, and there are good chances to see Denmark’s largest carnivore – the large grey seal. The male can weigh up to 300 kg – he rules out here and he’s afraid of nothing, not even the visitors in the boats. Seals are curious and often swin around the boat to see who has come to visit. The guide tells about the seals and the rich animal life in the Limfjord. On the way back he might also tell about the tough life of the fishermen by the North Sea.

    Meeting point: Aggervej 38, 7770 Vestervig, next to the ferry berth – 10 minutes before departure

    Parkering: By Aggervej 35

    Important! Show up at the meeting point before departure time. The boat must be departing at the assigned time to be able to follow the day's schedule

    Duration: About an hour

    Clothes: Water and wind proof clothes is necessary. It is cooler and more windy on the water than it is on land

    Price: DKK 239 per adult, DKK 199 per child ages 3-12 years, DKK 199 per child under the age of 3 years

    Dogs: Dogs can not be brought along on this tour

    Children: We have life jackets for children from 2 years and up, but are not able to sail with passengers younger than 2 years

    Wind & weather: In case of too strong winds a trip can be cancelled. If you’ve booked, you will receive notice; either by text message, email, or phone. We update the tour calendar daily and make extra trips often.

    Season: We arrange this tour in July and August and are happy to arrange departures from Agger during other times of the year by demand

    Great nature experience for young and old!


    Seal safari with the Jutland Aquarium is definitely recommended! A great experience is guaranteed. Both the family's children aged 4 and 7 and the adults were excited about meeting both harbor and gray seals at very close range (20-50 meters away). The little seal pups swam to the boat.

    If it's windy, rainwear is a good idea, as you can risk a little water splash.
