Treasure Hunt in the Dark

Join us on a very special treasure hunt – indoors and in the dark! We invite young and old to a fascinating experience on our artificial amber beach and in the aquarium exhibition, where you, with a UV lamp in hand, must find the golden treasures and other things that are hidden in the dark.

In the dim light, the UV lamps reveal the otherwise hidden amber, which lights up with a very special glow. The activity takes place in dry weather and sheltered conditions, and we guide you through the techniques for spotting amber among sand and stones. Along the way, we tell exciting stories and facts about the origin of amber, and how it has traveled from ancient forests to the coasts of Denmark for millions of years.
